Every page in this folder is under a monitor. ChangeTower checks it on your schedule, as often as every 5 minutes, stores a dated snapshot each time, and emails you when your criteria are met. It watches the pages you added, nothing else.

Detection is content-level. ChangeTower reads the words and the HTML the page serves. The screenshot is kept as a dated record of the page, not compared against anything.

One folder for every page that would tell you first: your suppliers' newsrooms, your competitors' press pages, the bodies that regulate you, and the trade titles covering your sector. Open a row to see what was published and how the page looked.

AI Monitoring

A banner rotates all week. Tell it what counts as news.

Most of what changes on a press page is not an announcement. Write your criteria in plain language, and only the changes that match them reach you.

Criteria in your own words.

No rules engine, no keyword lists. Say what you want to hear about, and the monitor holds to that.

"Alert me when a new item is published, or when a notice names a date, a site or a product"
Every change is classified against your rule before anything reaches you
Changes that don't match are archived quietly, so the record stays complete
Every alert includes a plain-language summary of what was published
Change the rule any time, per monitor

One rule, written once. Two weeks of housekeeping archived quietly; the 07:40 notice reaches you on the check that finds it.

Manual user actions

Behind a registration wall and a load-more button? Still watched.

Registration walls, region pickers and load-more buttons hide most of what is worth following. Record the steps once, and ChangeTower replays them before every check.

Record the steps once. They run before every check.

Accept the notice, sign in, pick the region, expand the list. You record it once and the monitor repeats it.

Close the cookie notice, the newsletter popup or the interstitial over the page
Pick the region, the sector or the topic filter the page needs
Press "load more" so the monitor reads the full list, not the first six items
The steps replay before every check, so the page is read the same way every time

The four clicks you would do yourself before reading, run for you on every check instead.

Turn the cadence up, or narrow what counts

Every check in between has a snapshot too, changed or not. This newsroom published twice in two weeks, both late in the morning. The notice that changed somebody's quarter went up at 07:40 and appeared nowhere else for two days.

Just found a supplier's newsroom? Put it under a monitor from that tab.

The list never gets built in a planning session. It gets built three clicks into a supplier site, and the extension turns that page into a monitor.

From open tab to monitored page, in one click.

Click the icon, say what you want to hear about, and the page is monitored before you close the tab.

Describe what to catch in plain language: "any new notice published on this page"
The monitor is live in your account before you close the tab

Every extension monitor gets the full platform behind it: summaries, alerts, the archive

You found the page. The extension makes sure that was the last time you had to. It joins your other monitors and is archived from its next check.

Coverage

The pages announcements actually appear on.

A supplier's notices page can change your quarter at any hour. An industry body publishes four times a year. Set the check frequency per page to match, as often as every 5 minutes.

Company Newsrooms & Press Releases

Service notices, production updates, depot and route changes. The pages that decide whether something arrives, usually announced nowhere else.

Event, Conference & Programme Pages

Speaker lists, agendas and session times, watched for a name added, a track changed or a keynote appearing without an announcement.

Leadership & Team Pages

Not an announcement page at all, which is the point. A name arriving or disappearing is often the first published sign of change.

Use cases

The moments this pays for itself.

Hear about a disruption while there is still time

A plant pause, a depot closure or a route suspension is posted on a notices page, often nowhere else. Six weeks of warning and six days are different problems, and what separates them is when you read the page.

Know a competitor announced something before a customer tells you

Being last in the room to hear is a small thing that reads as a large one. A monitor on the newsroom means the release reaches you when it is published, not when it is repeated back.

Catch the consultation while the window is still open

Regulators and industry bodies post a notice, name a closing date, and consider nothing that arrives after it. Plenty run no mailing list. The page is the announcement, so the page is what you watch.

Know when it was published, not when somebody noticed

Every check stores a dated snapshot, changed or not, so the question that always follows has an answer: it went up at 07:40 on the 14th, and here is how the page read. It also catches items edited or pulled after publication.

For professionals

Cover a whole landscape, not a shortlist

Comms teams, agencies and analysts follow more organisations than anybody can open in a morning. Group each client or sector into its own folder, and add newsrooms, press pages and topic pages in one pass with bulk setup.

For professionals

Brief from a record rather than a recollection

"They announced it last month, I think" is not a briefing. Dated snapshots, stored exactly as captured and never edited, turn a landscape you have half-watched into something you can quote from.

Following a landscape rather than a shortlist? Bulk setup adds a list of URLs in one pass.

What this is built for

It watches the pages you name. It does not watch the web.

Worth knowing before you start: "news monitoring" means two different products, and only one of them is this one.

Built for this

Being on the page the moment it changes

You choose the newsrooms, notices pages, press pages and topic pages that matter. ChangeTower loads each as often as every 5 minutes, reads what came back, and tells you in plain language what was published. A small number of pages watched properly, not the whole world watched loosely.

  • A new item appearing on a newsroom, notices or press page
  • A notice naming a date, a site, a product or a person
  • Consultation windows, results dates and event programmes moving
  • Stories added to a trade publication's topic or tag page
  • Items quietly edited, reworded or removed after publication
  • Pages behind a registration wall your own account can reach
  • A dated snapshot of every check, changed or not
Not what this does

Finding out what the world is saying

ChangeTower never goes looking. No crawler sweeping publications for your name, no index of articles to search, no opinion about tone. If nobody added the page, nothing on it is watched, and a page added today has no history before today.

  • Searching the web for mentions of your brand or your people
  • Discovering publications, blogs or newsrooms you have not named
  • Sentiment, tone or share-of-voice scoring
  • A searchable archive of articles, or anything published before you added the page
  • Social posts, forums, podcasts, video and broadcast
  • Getting past a subscription you do not have

The honest version: this is not a clipping service. It is a way of being on the page the moment it changes, for the fifty pages where that matters.

FAQ

The questions people ask before they start.

How does news and announcement monitoring work?

You name the newsrooms, notices pages, investor pages and regulator pages you follow, and ChangeTower checks each one as often as every 5 minutes. When something is published it emails you what the page now says, in plain language, with a dated snapshot of it.

Is ChangeTower a media monitoring service?

No, and the distinction is worth two minutes. A media monitoring service goes out on your behalf: it crawls publications, finds mentions you did not know about, and hands you a report. ChangeTower goes nowhere. It watches the pages you added, and only those.

That is a smaller job done properly. Fifty pages that would tell you first, checked as often as every 5 minutes, with a dated record of everything they have published since you added them.

Will it find articles written about us?

No. There is no crawler looking for your name and no index of articles to search, so a story published somewhere you have not named will not reach you.

The honest adjacent thing: on a page you have added, keyword monitoring tells you when a specific string appears. If your own company name turns up on a supplier's notices page you watch, you hear about it: a page you chose, not a discovery.

Can it show me what a newsroom published last year?

Only what is still on the page when the first check runs. Snapshots start the moment you add a monitor: no back catalogue, no way into a page's past.

The record builds fast: a page checked every 5 minutes has nearly three thousand snapshots inside a fortnight. Add the pages you care about before you need them, which is the only genuinely annoying thing about it.

Does it score sentiment or share of voice?

No. The AI summarizes what changed in plain language and classifies it against your rule. It has no opinion about whether an announcement is good or bad for you, does not rate sources, and produces no scores.

That is deliberate. A number that says "sentiment: 62" about a supplier pausing production is not information. The notice, the date and the sites named are.

How quickly will I hear about something published?

The alert goes out on the check that finds the change, so the honest answer is: as fast as the cadence you set, and checks run as often as every 5 minutes. A notice posted at 07:40 is in your inbox around 07:41.

The other side, plainly: something published and pulled between two checks passes unseen, because there was nothing different to find when the monitor looked.

Will a busy newsroom alert me constantly?

Not if you write criteria. Say what counts as news, such as "alert me when a new item is published, or when a notice names a date, a site or a product", and the AI reads every change against that rule.

A rotated hero image, an item aging into the archive or a reworded footer is classified and archived without an alert. Pair it with selective monitoring where a "most read" rail changes every few minutes anyway.

Can you monitor a page behind a registration wall or a load-more button?

If you can reach it, usually yes. Record the sign-in with the steps that run before each check, and the monitor reaches the same view you would, on a free trade-title registration or a subscriber account. Credentials are stored securely and used only to reach that page.

Two limits, plainly. The monitor reaches exactly what your own account reaches, so a subscription you do not have is not something it gets past. And a site that blocks automated access will not load for the monitor, which you see straight away rather than after a month of silence.

Some of these pages have an RSS feed. Why not just use that?

If a source has a good feed and you already read feeds, use it. ChangeTower is built around pages, and this page is about the many sources with no usable feed: supplier notices pages, regulator press pages, event programmes, leadership pages, and topic pages that list far more than they syndicate.

There is also the class of change a feed cannot carry. Nothing re-fires when an item is edited after publication, a headline is quietly reworded, a results date moves, or a notice is taken down. A page check catches all four, and the earlier snapshot is there to compare against.

How many newsrooms and notice pages can I follow at once?

Yes. One monitor covers one page, and you can watch as many as your plan allows: a dozen supplier notices pages, your competitors' newsrooms, three industry bodies and the topic pages of the two titles covering your sector. They all report into one place, so you read one list instead of thirty tabs.

The daily summary makes that liveable. Anything that met your criteria has already interrupted you; everything else waits in one email in the morning.

Does it work differently for agencies following a landscape for clients?

The monitoring is identical. What changes is the organising. Folders keep each client or sector separate, so an agency covering nine is not reading one undifferentiated list, and bulk setup adds newsrooms, press pages and topic pages in a single pass.

Dated snapshots matter more in this mode than in-house. When a client asks what a competitor said on the day of an announcement, or what a notice read before it was revised, the record is already there and was never edited.

Where do news alerts get sent?

Email, Slack or Microsoft Teams. Alerts route by folder, so each sector, client or supplier group reaches the person who follows it.

What is a snapshot, and how long is it kept?

The rendered page and the HTML behind it, stored on every check whether the page changed or not, each with a precise timestamp. That is how you can say a notice went up at 07:40 on the 14th and show the page. Retention is set per account.

Can it tell me when a notice is taken down or quietly revised?

Yes. A page that loses a notice, or has one reworded, is a change like any other, and the earlier snapshot still holds what it said before.

Hear it from the page, not from the fallout.

Put the notices pages, newsrooms and regulators you follow under a monitor. First monitor live in under 5 minutes.
